OtherMind is built for autistic and neurodivergent people, so accessibility isn’t an afterthought — it’s the point. This statement covers the website; the same care goes into the app.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, and to keep the experience calm and low-friction for a range of sensory and cognitive needs.
What we’ve built in
- A light and dark theme, so you can choose what’s easier on your eyes.
- Reduced-motion support — if your device asks for less motion, the drifting background and animations stop.
- Text and colour chosen for readable contrast.
- Clear, consistent structure and headings for screen readers and keyboard navigation.
- Plain language, and nothing that flashes or demands urgency.
Where we’re still improving
The site is pre-launch and evolving, so some areas may not yet fully meet our own standard. We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a box ticked once.
