Terms of service

Last updated 21 July 2026

These terms cover your use of the OtherMind website, the screening tests on it, the OtherMind test, and any account you create. Please read them. By using the site, you agree to them.

What OtherMind is

OtherMind is a self-understanding product for autistic adults. This website introduces it, offers free, informational autism and ADHD screening tests, and hosts the OtherMind test. The app itself is in development.

The tests are informational, not a diagnosis

The screening tests here — including the AQ-10, CAT-Q and ASRS-5 — are established questionnaires provided for information and self-reflection. They are not a clinical assessment, and a result is not a diagnosis. Only a qualified professional can diagnose autism or ADHD. Please treat your results as a prompt to explore, not a conclusion.

The OtherMind test

The OtherMind test is our own structured reflection: you answer questions about how five areas of your life feel, and it shows you how strongly each pattern came through in your answers, scored transparently. Like the screening tests, it is for information and self-reflection only. It is not a clinical assessment, and it is not a diagnosis — only a qualified professional can diagnose autism. How we handle the answers is set out in our Privacy policy.

Saving your results

After the OtherMind test you can save your results by giving us your email address. There is no account and no password to create: the app is still in development, so there is nothing yet to sign in to. Saving is optional and commits you to nothing.

  • Saving is free, and there is nothing to pay now. If the app introduces paid features later, we will make that clear before you are ever charged.
  • We hold your results and your answers, and we will email you once, when the app is ready for you to pick them up.
  • When the app opens, signing in with the same email address attaches your saved results to your new account, so nothing needs answering twice.
  • You can ask us to delete your saved results at any time at hello@othermind.app.
  • As the app is in development, saving your results gives you no guaranteed launch date or continued availability — see “No guarantees” below.

Not a medical or crisis service

OtherMind does not provide medical advice, therapy or crisis support, and nothing on this site is a substitute for professional care. If you need urgent help, contact your local emergency services, or in the UK call Samaritans free on 116 123, at any time.

The screening instruments

The AQ-10, CAT-Q and ASRS-5 are the work of their respective authors and institutions, reproduced here for personal, non-commercial use. We credit them on each test. We do not claim ownership of these instruments.

Using the site fairly

  • Use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
  • Don’t misuse it, disrupt it, or try to break its security.
  • Don’t copy or republish our content or the tests for commercial use without permission.

Our content

The OtherMind name, branding, writing and design on this site are ours. You’re welcome to read and share links, but not to reproduce them as your own.

No guarantees

We offer this site “as is”. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we can’t guarantee it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for decisions made solely on the basis of information or test results from this site.

Your data

Any personal data you give us — joining the waitlist, saving your OtherMind test results, or creating an account — is handled as set out in our Privacy policy, including the extra care we take with your test answers.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms as OtherMind develops. We’ll revise the date above when we do. Questions? Email hello@othermind.app.
